About US Time Zones
The United States uses four primary time zones:
- Eastern Time (ET) - UTC-5 (UTC-4 during daylight saving)
- Central Time (CT) - UTC-6 (UTC-5 during daylight saving)
- Mountain Time (MT) - UTC-7 (UTC-6 during daylight saving)
- Pacific Time (PT) - UTC-8 (UTC-7 during daylight saving)
Daylight Saving Time is observed in most states from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Arizona and Hawaii do not observe daylight saving time.
